Tottenham in Advanced Talks with Man City to Sign Savinho
Tottenham Hotspur are deep into advanced negotiations with Manchester City over a potential permanent transfer for 21-year-old winger Savinho, sources tell Football Insider. Spurs are reportedly offering around £43 million, though City is unlikely to sell unless a higher bid or a transfer request materializes.
Savinho, who joined Manchester City last summer from Girona, made 48 appearances across all competitions in the 2024–25 season, contributing three goals and 13 assists.
However, a number of boundary issues cloud the deal:
City’s reluctance to let go of a promising talent so soon, as Savinho remains under contract until 2029.
Valuation demands, with Manchester City believed to want £50 million or more, surpassing Spurs’ initial offer.
Competition for his position at City, as new arrivals like Rodrygo (targeted) and others potentially could limit his game time, making a move more appealing.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank is particularly keen to find a creative replacement for the departed Son Heung-min and the injured James Maddison, making Savinho an ideal fit.
The player himself reportedly shows willingness to leave City in favor of regular Premier League and Champions League action in London.
