Kaduna Governor Appoints Ben Kure as KSMC Managing Director

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has appointed Ben Solomon Dalhatu Kure as the new Managing Director of Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC), succeeding Ahmed Maiyaki, who now serves as the Commissioner for Information. The appointment was announced via a statement from the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibraheem Musa The Guardian NigeriaLeadership News.

Kure is celebrated as a public communication expert and political strategist, expected to build upon Maiyaki’s efforts in positioning KSMC as an effective tool for public information and engagement The Guardian NigeriaThe Whistler.

He brings a wealth of both public service and private sector experience—having served as Chairman of Jaba Local Government (2016–2017), Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (2018–2019), and Special Adviser on Political Matters to the Governor (2019–2021). His early career spans banking roles including Branch Manager at Oceanic Bank/Ecobank, Team Leader at Zenith Bank, and Team Leader (Public Sector) at Broad Bank The Guardian NigeriaThe Whistler.

Academically, Kure holds a Master’s degree in Conflict, Peace, and Strategic Studies and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Geography and Planning.
