Intensifying Strikes Force Mass Evacuation in Lebanon’s Ancient City of Tyre
A recent unannounced strike in the heart of Tyre, a historic coastal city in Lebanon, hit a residential building, further escalating tensions in the region.

Over the past week, Israel’s military has issued evacuation orders across several parts of Lebanon, including Tyre, which has been subjected to persistent attacks. The majority of Tyre’s population—around 90 percent—has already fled the area due to safety concerns.
Meanwhile, in the eastern Bekaa Valley, the city of Baalbek and its surroundings, another historic region, were targeted with at least 17 airstrikes.
Lebanese officials argue that the intensification of these strikes suggests Israel may not be pursuing a serious effort toward a ceasefire.
