Gov Sani Charges NYSC Members to Serve with Dedication, Integrity
Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has urged members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to embrace dedication, integrity, and patriotism as they begin their service year.
Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II corps members at the Kaduna Orientation Camp, the governor described the NYSC scheme as a platform for national unity, character building, and leadership development.
Governor Sani reminded the corps members that the one-year mandatory service is not just about posting to workplaces but about contributing positively to the growth of communities, promoting peace, and demonstrating the values of honesty and hard work.
He commended the NYSC for remaining consistent in its role of fostering unity among Nigeria’s diverse ethnic groups. According to him, corps members represent the hope of the nation and must see their service year as an opportunity to make meaningful contributions to development.
The governor assured the corps members of his administration’s commitment to providing a safe and enabling environment throughout their stay in the state. He also encouraged them to embrace entrepreneurship training during the orientation program to prepare for self-reliance after service.
In her remarks, the State NYSC Coordinator praised the discipline of the new corps members and called on them to take Governor Sani’s advice seriously, stressing that dedication and integrity would open doors for them in future.
The corps members, drawn from different parts of the country, pledged to uphold the values of the scheme and serve Nigeria with loyalty and diligence.
